  • Changed my mind again

Maybe I should have been a woman. I keep changing my mind on the final product of my motor. Started out going with headers, a fabricated UIM and 75MM TB, then decided to go TT. Changed directions again. My new plan is to put six 44 MM TB's and drive it for the summer. I have the TB bodies and adapter plates done but still need to make the velocity stacks, throttle shafts, throttle plates, linkages, etc. The plan is to use two oblong filters, each mounted on three of the velocity stacks.

Next winter I will add the TT set-up. A box will mount on top of each bank of TB's that will route the pressurised air from the intercooler.

A couple pics of what's complete

How the set-up will look when completed without the filters.

So why did you decide to go with twin t25s verse single large turbo? Also what the heck are you gonna put this motor in? Lastly what are you planing to do with the old intake setup? Heh to bad you didn't live closer, or maybe I could've suckered you into helping me out with my turbo project lol(same state just about 4 hours apart).

I'd say from the quality of product CNCguy has posted, the 4 hour drive would be well worth it, hell I think I'd drive double that, nah, I'd probably ship the stuff, but you get my point, if I didn't have a Grandfather as a machinist, with his own equipment.

I went with the twin T25's just for the "It has twin turbos" factor. This is going in the 3 wheeler in my avatar, so it doesn't need alot of power since the wight is a little over 1500#. My mods are more for looks at the cruise-ins. I think the 6 TB's will go along way for show. I haven't decided what to do with the other intake. My son is trying to talk me into putting a 60V6 in the '63 Comet that I have here. Well, if you ever get down in the Dayton area, stop by if you get a chance.

Yea I'd really love to put twins in my car just to say that it is TT. I have also heard twins offer better streetability, but obviously thats not a street machine lol.

Of course it is.... it's just a mildly modified '95 Lumina

It was at the 60V6 meet in August.

Wow, you just ran with that idea didnt you Marc makes the throttlebodies sold on our store here so the quality is definetly there. This is gonna get sick in a hurry, i can just tell. Tuning is gonna be quite interesting though. I like a good challenge:P

I've got the software to tune it if you want to stick with OBD II!

That does look sick, I may have to employ you at some point to make a new intake arm.
I may own a GTO now, but I'm still a 60V6er at heart.

Wow Marc, you never cease to completely knock my socks off with a new update. I love the individual tb idea, and I agree that it will look totally killer at cruises, shows, driving, sitting in the garage, anywhere! Top notch as always Marc.

I've got some ideas that your parts making mastery may come in handy on. I'm dying for some gear driven timing. <<<hint hint>>>

                        14.60 @ 96.33 for now...

Got a little more done on the TB's. Still need to make the shfts, throttle plates, linkage and air cleaner plates, but it is coming along.
