CAI is a custom unit from FDP as well. I basically told him the bends I wanted and the amount of couplers I wanted, and he sent it all to me. When I got it, I just cut everything to how I wanted it setup.

I can call him and see if he's got one handy. I know they are in the middle of moving, so I think that is why they are closed until March. But if he has one he can get to, I'm sure he'd be willing to send it to you. As far as price... I want to say it was around $100, but don't quote me on that!

I talked to Franz this morning and he said he could probably get something together for you. Didn't ask the specifics, but you can either PM him or email him. His name on here is XLR8ING, so you should be able to get an email to him via that. He did mention that he is doing it as a kit now instead of an assembled unit, which might drop the price down some, but also means you'd have to cut your stock FPR to install the adjustable top. Like I said though, get ahold of him and he'll get you the info you need. Just tell him I sent you...

So is there a proper proceedure for this? Can the average guy do it at home if he has a A/F gauge and maybe some scanning/diagnostics software?

no you need to do it on a dyno, A/F gauges are a joke, they just tell you if you are close to a 14.7 air fule ratio... if your AF nedle moves much ever your car is about to blow or its about to die from too much fuel

                            i have a Caspers Electronics afrp. www.casperselectronics.com

i picked it up off a guy for payment of doing some work on his car. it was originally installed on a 2.4L fpr. but the 2.4L uses the same FPR, just with the bracket on the wrong side. so i took the stock 3X00 fpr (which is all caspers does as well) and drilled the apropriate holes to mount and use it.

cant beat a free AFPR. sorry the pic doesnt really show it very good. only one i have where you can see the unit.

So scanning software or a digital gauge wouldn't get you anywhere?
