1 head would be good, 2 would be better:P They aren't usuable when im done as I start with small changes, flow test, more changes, flow test, more changes, flow test...and keep at it till ive gone past the point of it being beneficial. The more heads the better as I like to reverse the order and test since one section of the port modified will affect others. However, I can add material back in now on testing a head.

I also wanna test adding material anyway since it may be possible to redesign the port runner/bowl area to improve flow and increase velocity. However, with the 3500 stock design it may not be needed. GM did an excellent job this time around.

I might be able to get you some 3.5 heads. Does it matter if they are from a Montana? We get them a lot and they are cracked.

Id upload the scans but its easier to just say it. The 3500 valves don't do anything for flow on my ported head either. I guess it only works on the 3500 heads themselves that the 3500 valve outflows the 3400 valve. So, other than the weight difference the 3500 intake valve isn't going to do much for you.

5 angle valve job did help with mid and higher lift flow in the 1-2% region.
