I have the stage one supercharger kit from rsm. Should I rely on the tuning they gave me, or should I tune it my self, If so what do I use to tune the ECU.

RSM ECU Tuning BAD or GOOD

Perhaps it is only my opinion (again), but I feel they approach it the wrong way. They remove the MAF (in almost all RSM blower setups I am familiar with). This is just not the way to go with any 3400. Mainly because they are not installing a 3-bar MAP sensor. Stock you have a 1bar map sensor. Since the MAF is removed, the PCM enters Speed Density Mode, which relys soley on the MAP sensor. All your PCM can see is 4kPa of boost (0.5 PSI) since 1-bar MAP maxes at 104kPa.
In short, your PCM has no way of calculating the real volume of air making its way into your cylinders. If you are adding a cam on their stock tune where they have "guessed" what the engine needs, you will see plenty of KR.
While it takes some learning, I would suggust you program it yourself using DHP's Powrtuner software. This allows you to fine tune and swap in parts you need to support your setup. (i.e., at the moment I'm swapping in an LS6 MAF, 65# Mototron injectors, & a 3-bar MAP).

Agree'd with all the above. You are better off putting the MAF back in, getting bigger injectors, and a tuner so you can tune the pcm yourself.
oh yeah, while you're changing the piping to add the MAF you might as well run some down to a front mount air/air intercooler.'97 Grand Prix GT 3800 (sold)

RSM Tuning....BAD ,BAD,BAD
Listen to these guys...I purchased the DHP Powertuner and I have the RSM kit and TEJohnson is correct.....KR all over the place. I am in the process of getting the MAF back in line and a 3Bar MAP and have to reclock the CSC to run new piping. I have 2 spare PCMs to tune with. It is gonna take alot of time but in the end you will get what you are supposed to out of the settup. I also will be putting in 42.5# injectors and hoopefully doing the 3500UIM swap when Bens kit is ready.
If you think your car is fast now wait till you actually tune it.......again....it is gonna take alot of time,but.....you will learn alot in the process and hopefully you wont blow anything up before you get it tuned properly
Just my two cents based on the thousands I spent and the thousands I will have to spend to get it right
