Can you recall the reciprocating factor percentage (i.e. around 50% or less) from your balance job? Anyone ever looked in to the optimal value?

IIRC, the Power Manual recommends a bob weight equal to 100% of rotating weight + 50% of reciprocating weight.

Yeah, was curious if there is any issue with an internally balanced vs externally balanced... I don't what them to use more mallory than what is needed... lol ($$$$$$$$$)

I have had two internal balance cranks balanced. One slug of mallory was needed on the first one, none for the second. Got charged the same amount both times. My balance shop charges a flat rate for balancing that includes one or two slugs of mallory, with extra charges if more is required. Might want to call your shop beforehand, but unless you are doing something really exotic with the pistons/rods, I wouldn't worry about it.

Eagle H-Beam rods. May be a tad heavier than stock once shaved.

Hopefully my Ross pistons are lighter than stock...
