Well, I plan on buying a 90's Buick Century. I want this car to stay... uhm... kosher is the way to put it. Lemme put it this way:

I was thinking of doing P&P heads, chip, and a mild catback exhaust as well as a drop-in K&N filter. I don't want this car to be a "hot rod", but I can't help but put my hand in improving the car from stock form. So, for lack of better terminology, I want this car to be as much of a sleeper as it can. Not too loud, not too flashy, just things that'll add a safe amount of horsepower.

From there, I'm curious about getting a custom cam. I read that the stock torque peaks at 4000RPM? I would like to believe that torque would peak out earlier. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm new to these V6's.

    Any advise is appreciated.

I dunno. I don't have the car yet! I was wandering around here to see what I could gather on the 3.1.

peak torque is around 4 on them. its a bit high for a low reving motor, but they drive well.

being a buick century, it may have a 3300 or even a 3800 in it, or it could have a 3.1 in it.

          A mid 90s one will likely have a 3100.

Mid-'90s and up will all have 3100's in them.
