  • 3.4L 94 camaro intake/head

ok, I got a few questions. I've been doing searches but i can't find anything specific.

    1) What heads fit on the 94 3.4L Camaro engine? I'm looking to put some aluminum heads on my camaro. I've found a few 3.1 L heads on ebay, but I don't know if they're the same or not. What heads could I use, and which ones would be the best ones to use? I've heard late model grand am gt heads would work.

    2) Another problem with the camaro 3.4L is that it doesn't get enough air. Where can I get a good intake manifold?

    3) where can I get some general information about the 3.4L camaro engine? I don't know much about it - what gen it is, stuff like that. aight

    thanks for your help

The 3.4 uses iron heads stock. Unfortunately, the aluminum heads and iron heads don't interchange easily. In order to use the aluminum heads, you would have to go with a FWD manifold combination as well. And since the CC of the aluminum heads is alot different than the iron heads, you would also have to go with a different set of pistons in order to lower the CR down to reasonable levels.

But don't worry, there are a couple of guys on here that have done all of the above, so it is very possible to do.

As far as info on the 3.4L, check out here.

That sound at least give you an idea of where to start. Feel free to ask more questions as they come up.
