  • Those in the crank scraper group buy

Im posting this here for now as I think it will get the best exposure. Ill move it once I recieve emails from everyone involved.

I want to apologize to those with the gen 3 that bought the scraper. When I test fit it, I didn't know that you couldn't install the pan. Yes, I messed up bad on this. I am also dead broke right now so I cannot do anything right now for you guys. I promise that once my store picks up (i hope), that I will do my best to take care of my mistake, be it having new scrapers produced if possible, or refund your money.

I have lost all emails and information other than shipping info for those in the group buy. I do not know how many were for the 3400/3100 but if you were one of them, please send me an email at sappyse107@60degreev6.com and let me know. I will print off all the emails on this.

I wanted to post this now as I found out when Lorenzo told me a few days ago and ive been stressing over not being about to fix this right away. I figure it is best to tell you now cause it would suck a lot more if you pulled your pan, installed it, and realized then that it doesn't work. I am sorry.

I am just throwing this out there because its a nice idea IMO. I would like to reimburse them for the scrapers, so if you want to sell it and give them some cash off it that would be cool. Totally up to you but I think it would be a nice gesture from the community to do this. They have not asked me for any money to fix this problem as we are sharing the responsibility of the mistake. If this interests anyone I can give you their paypal address. Obviously, you are free to do what you wish with the scraper.

I will post when they do finish the new scrapers for the gen 3 motors.

I just noticed this thread as I just got a new scraper in the mail today. I didnt even ask for the replacement, I just got it. The desgin is def revised. They have decreased the width for pan clearance and then welded addational metal onto it for strength.

If it wont fit our engines what engine will the old scrapper fit? If they can use/re-sell my old one I will happily ship it back to them.

Great service IMHO. Glad I havent gotten a chance to try and install the old one, this saves me the stress.

          Thanks

The old one fits the 3.1 with DIS and the 3.4 DOHC motors. You are free to do whatever you wish with the old one. If you want to send it back or send it to me, thats cool. I would give them the money made off any sent back to me. Id just prefer they dont get thrown away since they are good, just not for the 3x00 motors.

how hard is it to install this scraper on a DOHC? cause if it fits a 96 3.4 DOHC I'll probably buy one and help out the co and myself at the same time :-D

thread from the dead, i suck.

I'm wanting to put the crank scraper and a windage tray into my gen 2 3.1, i haven found many pictures of the installation of the scraper so im still kinda wondering how well they both fit in there. is this something i shouldn't worry about? i read about it boling up with the main cap bolts, but im a little curious how it fits with a windage tray.

It fits just fine under the windage tray. You may need new main bolts from a DOHC but thats about it as far as I know. Use the DOHC windage tray as well.
