3100 pistons would lower the compression due to the iron heads having a lager combustion chamber. now if you put the aluminum heads on a iron head motor you would have at least 11:1 compression!

Nope...they have larger dishes, and would decrease CR considerably. This has been researched and discussed many times....there is no mixing and matching of off-the-shelf parts that will get you higher compression with the 3.1 iron head engines.
