  • LS6 valve springs

I have a question about the LS6 valve springs. I am trying to figure out which ones to order i have got a jbodyperformance regrind cam for a 3100 and i am going to upgrade from the stock 3100 springs to the LS6 ones. i have found to compcams part numbers 26915 and 26918 the only difference i can see in the break down of the two is the inside diameter of the springs. Which ones do i need to get and is there anything else that i will need to purchase to do this swap. I did a search and got this much info but could not figure out which ones was needed. Thanks for the help.

No the size is identical. The spring pressure is different. The 918's are stiffer.

Get the 915's. The 918's are not needed unless you have a pretty radical regrind.

You should ask jbodyperformance what valve spring specs are required for your regrind.

LOL gimme a break Ben. You think they will know?

I would go find a cam with similar specs from Comp and Crane and go by their recommendations.

No I dont think they will know which is partly why I said it. However, they SHOULD know or be able to get the information. I would expect that from a regrind as it is information you would recieve from crane or comp cams with a regrind (seen it). Its important to know.

I would just use the stock LS6 springs unless the comp springs are cheaper.

When you can pick up the Stock LS6 Springs from Lingenfelter for only $65 for 16? Don't think the Comp springs are that cheap
