I might try to set it up someday. Maybe with an aftermarket TBI such as Holley. After I get that other stuff done. And paid for.

I guess I'm the only one to spot the aluminium heads?

There will be no direct bolt intake for that set-up so what you have built is the only way to fit a carb to that engine, now I want pics of the dizzy and how you made that fit. The genII and III intakes don't have enough clearance for the dizzy to fit in the factory location.

      *edit*

On closer inspection, you heavily modified the lower intake manifold? It really is hard to tell from those pics.

Do you have any pics of that intake off the engine, while you were modifying it?

I noticed the heads. It is the reason he had to fashion the intake

I also just realized that the OP and the person who posted those pics are two different people, my bad.

As stated earlier, using a genI (Iron head) 660, a factory intake for a carb can be found.

Edlebrock also used to make an intake with a top section that could be used with 2BBL, 4BBl or TBI.

Ortie - the upper intake you made looks so huge, I'd be concerned about fuel separation at low RPMs. I'm sure that it flows big time, but how's driveability? Also, how tall is that upper?
