Well, lifter bore diameter is the same.

I'd assume that if you removed the stock "anti-rotation" crap, they should work. The only issue really with the mechanical rollers I'd imagine would be the same issue on the 2.8/3.1, clearance issues with the LIM.

I think no one has said anything, because no one has specifically tried yet.

The lifters will work in a 3X00 block. Rmove the factory anti rotation bars as your lifters come with them.

I had no idea that they would hit the lower intake though in the 3X00. At least that what it seems like turboz24 was saying.

I actually thought they would have more room then say on a fiero or camaro setup.

Mock it up and see if everything clears is all I can say then really.

We are talking about the aftermarket mechanical roller lifters offered for the 2.8/3.1 by crane.

They were a mechanical (solid) roller and unfortunatly I guess they are discontinued now by Crane and are all out of stock. Was planning on buying a set for years now. Just when I'm actually about to spend the $ they're no longer available.

                Or so I've been told.

Yep thats the truth, I called crane a couple weeks ago. They are gonzo, summit is out, TYA is out. I'm lookin everywhere. Dont believe me? try and find them on cranes site now.. that is without searching the part number directly.

They didn't have them in stock either when I origionally got mine, but they seemed not too have a problem doing them up. the only "custom" part is the link bar.

There was a set on ebay like a month ago. Brand new. $100. I didnt' bid on them. I bought the ones the guy had for the aluminum block instead.

I have two mechanical roller cams. I dont' know the specs on them yet. Waiting for them to arrive but I did see them and I think one is a schneider cam. They have part numbers on them so I can probably find the grind info on them. However I do know the lifts are over .500 for both. I think one is around .6 lift and the other is around .550 or so. Guy was making well over 300 hp who I bought the parts from. Once I get the cams shipped here in a month or two, I will call the manufacturers of them and find out the specs on them.

Merci! Thanks so much Shaun! I emailed him to find out if he still has them. If not I might have found another source for solid rollers. Well possibly two other sources. Waiting for an answer back from both.
If this guy still has them though, Would save me heaps on lifters though.

Maybe just maybe I might have an engine to put in the bird again this year.
