    Also, besides the effect of lowering the freezing temp, the anti-freeze also raises the booling temp. You wouldn't want to run all water because it would have a higher tendency to boil causing high pressures and probable venting. A 2:1 ratio sounds pretty good though for a car that doesn't see very cold temps regulary. I'll have to try the water wetter myself next summer (never used it).


    As for the steel plugs rusting, I'm not worried about that since my entire block has been cleaned and painted.
