im also looking to supercharge my motor. i thought about using a gm style m90, but mounting it on the motor causes problems with hood clearance deffinitly would need a big cowl) and distributor clearance. after some research, im looking into an eaton m90 from a t-bird supercoupe. it has a nice outlet from the blower to go to an intercooler before entering the intake. my biggest issue right now is trying to come up with a throttle body-blower adapton, as the ford m90 uses a small oval hole in the back of the blower, and uses an adaptor that a big bend and just wouldnt work for what im looking at. another idea i had would be to run the throttle body after the blower (like a centrifical uses) and just have an aircleaner on the end of the blower. i certainly would have to run a blow off valve on with this te prevent damage to the blower when you let off the throttle. im just not sure if thats a very practical idea to run it that way

    back to researching

I looked into the Tbird SC set up years ago. I decided to stay natural instead, but you can get them for a pretty good price off ebay last I remember. I forget the actual set up, but I think the SC was mounted upside down compared to normal. So you could likely mount it anywhere

yea technicaly its mounted upside down. air is fed in through the back (like the gm style m90) and it pushed out the top and then it heads down through an intercooler and back up to the intake.

right now ive found several complete setups for a supercoupe (from threottle body to intake manifold, with charge pipes) for under $100

So, go with the m90?? Would'nt the m62 fit better, because it is smaller?? I would love to have a NA setup pushing 210-225 then bolt on of these on at just 7psi. Got Torque?

the gm m62 is way to much work to build a setup for, and its not realyu big enough. the ford m90 i figure will work well.

i just found out my buddy is gonna "lend" me the blower setup from his 400hp supercoupe for the winter. all i realy need it for is mock up, once i know if it will fit in place, i will head out and buy one

yea ill post pics when i get it mocked up.

it will fit under the hood. im gonna mount it between the rad and motor. im gonna have to get a pusher fan and move the rad ahead.

I can't tell how much room is in there between the sc and the rad but I installed a flex a lite dual fan in mine and it fits very nice. Had to trim a little off because the rad wasn't the exact size it was supposed to be but it fits nice and is very thin.

the supercoupe and xr7 was avalible from i beleive 88-93, and the 2nd gen was 94-95. the 94-95 have a better supercharger, but are hard to find and very pricey

Well, like my website says, I did it because I was the first person to do a 3400 swap from the 3100. Then a couple months later someone else did it and we were going to both be at an up comming meet, so I wanted to ensure that I would beat him in a race. The car was still my daily driver, and doing a turbo setup would have meant a lot more down time than this style of supercharger. The idea was that I would drive down there, take off the hood, spend an hour swapping on the supercharger, kick his ass, then spend an hour and put it back together.

It took me about 2 months to get everything running and less than $1500 originally. When the cost is $265 for a working supercharger, how can you say no? The problem is that I kept spending more and more money doing more and more stuff. Boost is addictive. It breaks 4t60e's like there's no tomorrow.

The car stays in a garage and only comes out in the summer and nice days. Its just for shits and giggles, feel free to poke all the fun you want at it. I laugh everytime I see it too.

For the record though, it is a 3400 under boost, not a 3100.
