i found a 3400 at my local junk yard. The guy wants $600 for it. It came out of a (01 i believe) alero. the car has 50,000 miles on it... my questions are: Is this a good price for an engine this new with this low of miles? and would the stock bottom end of the 3400 be able to handle a cam (close to the milzy stage 1 specs), and a 75 shot of nitrous?

RE: Found a 3400
It really depends on your location I think. I picked up my 01 3400 with 32k on it for $400 almost 2 years ago. Since then, I have moved to a different state and started looking up 3400s for a guy here and $600 was almost the cheapest I could find.-Brad-

RE: Found a 3400
look around at other states, freight within about 1200-1500 miles is about $100, it may be worth while even if it ends up costing the same for a lower mileage engine.

well i went out today to check the engine, and possibly buy it, but i wanted to look it over real good first... i had the guy get a spare battery to hook up to the car so i could read the mileage.. they lied to me, the car really had 94,000 miles and not 50,000. so i thought $600 was a little steep. im back looking once again94 Grand Prix
