Its not a matter of trust.......... I still have not gotten a straight answer or straight opinion on the original issue.

The only opinions you have offered is the trashing of the equipment I have as opposed to what you can help me with to make it better.

The scenario posted above is clear and I used it to get an answer, which still hasnt been stated.

Its like talking to my 4 year old.....lots of verbiage, most of it makes no sense, tangents all over the place, no point, and an endless array of babble.

If I had never mentioned the acronym RSM I probably would have been inundated with useful positive information.

"The best source for all your GM 60 degree V6 Needs" maybe should say

"The best source for all your GM 60 degree V6 bashing, belittling, ambiguities and axes to grind"

I have learned with these threads that if you dont have a constructive opinion......pass on the thread.

Peace be with you also my angry Brother

Buying a cam is not like buying a shirt. They do not come in fast, faster, and fastest. If you want to properly match your cam to your eninge, you will need to give lots of information and take numerous things into account. Ben isn't dodging your question. He's just gathering all the info he needs to provide an educated answer.

excatly and your not being very helpful in the info either. Boost is not something for the novice to play with, if you intend on continuning to mod this car you have 2 choices. Either keep paying out of your wallet for professional companies todo you car or learn something on your own.

We can only give you so much information and for the most part what we tell you is just going to lead you to even more questions about various supporting mods and the technical workings of an engine and forced induction. As with most sites like this everyone is willing to help someone espically if they are looking to help themselvs. Frankly you are sounding more and more like you want to be spoon fed info rather than actually learn something on your own.

There is nothing special or magical about the 660 engine, so why dont you try doing some of your on research on head flow and cam profiles. While your at it research the mechanics behind forced induction, timimg and air/fuel ratios. To help in this I highly reccomend purchasing "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell (you can get this at most online book retailers), there are a few other good books you may want to try.

          Theres also good primers at
HowStuffWorks has been explaining how things work to curious minds since 1998. Providing factual, unbiased content that's fun to read and makes difficult topics easy to understand.

One of the reasons places like RSM and ZZP charge so much is not just for the labor and the parts but for the research and work that goes into understanding the engine well enough to put together a working kit. If you want to do this stuff yourself you need to learn this. We are here to discuss tech and help people with this stuff however dont expect us to give you a training course in performance enginnering, if you want that try research or take a class at a local community college.

Once you have done some of your own research and understand better what we are asking and talking about you will be able to better explain what you have and what you are looking for. This will help us in giving you advice and ideas on your setup to make more power.

I think you have gone pretty much as far as you can for the moment, i dont reccomend modding your car anymore at all short of the transmission untill your either willing to pay out of pocket to a seasoned professional or spend some time really learning this stuff.

Well said...........I am not a motor swapper or a weekend mechanic.....I am a car enthusiat that came to this forum for advice. Some was given but more of the info was directed at what shit I purchased from RSM. I can take constructive critisism all day long but petty comments are not necessary.

I have contacted Cammotion and ComCams and they seem to be able to provide a whole lot more with the info I do have. Learning the dynamics of the internal combustion engine is not the issue. And I doubt any of you can make a cam. Thats where the pros come in, but forums as these provide info from people who are willing to share whats been tried. Thats what I thought would be provided in this forum.

I came to the wrong forum it seems for anything other thatn taking a cheap old car and cramming a bigger engine in it,

I did that in 1976 with a 327 powered Vega. It was a whole lot different then.

The things that have not changed over the year are the stump the chump type punks who talk a good game till it gets specific.......then they crumble.

The more things change the more things stay the same.

You read the books while I blow you away on the street.

I guess Ill just have to come down to FL next season then and we'll see

this site isnt so much for people who just want to be spoon fed, its more for the folks who want to get thier hands dirty and do it themselvs.
