  • need some help with injector harness

I have a 3400 out of an 02 monte carlo that will be going into my 89 z24.
I finally found my extra 3.1 fuel injector harness but the insulation on the wires is brittle and cracks whenever you bend the wires. I figured that i would just splice the weather pack end of the 3.1 harness onto the 3400 harness(already removed map sensor, cts, and cam sensor plugs) as i want to use the multec 2 injectors(I plan on getting a chip burned). I know that the pink/black wires on the 3.1 harness are the 12v and the green and blue wires are the ground from the ecm.

Here's my question. each injector on the 3400 harness has an orange wire going to it. then there are various colored wires going to each injector. are the orange wires the 12v and the various color wires ground?
anybody else done there harness like this?

    Thanks,
    Stephen

i had to do the same thing with my swap, IIRC the bright orange is 12v and the other color is always ground, though its been a while and its not like i can easily look under my hood and see.

make sure to solder the wiresand wrap them good.

In my 2000 N-body manual it shows two wires for each injector and labels them "injector feed" and "injector output". I'd assume thats power and ground. All the feed wires are listed as pink, and all the output wires are a color with a black stripe (ie yellow/black, green/black, white/black, etc) with each injector having it's own color combination for 1-6. Hope that helps somewhat.
