I was doing a search for something else and found this topic. I would guess that the throttle pedal signal is still a potentiometer of some kind. So the difference here for the electronic WOT switch is that you tap into the sensor on the pedal, not at the throttle body. Although, I haven't done any work on a DBW GM system. The extent of what I know about these types of systems is limited to Inertnational Diesel engines. They have an APS (Accelerator Pedal Postition Sensor) at the pedal that is a potentiometer.
Anyways, if you want to have an electronic WOT switch, turn the key to the on position, grab a multimeter, and start measuring signals from sensors at the pedal (if you even have any and can not find literature that tells you the answers you are looking for in that). Then throw that into the WOT relay controller. I have instructions on how to build your own here... http://www.angelfire.com/super/ghett...ttleswitch.htm
sorry for rising up a dead post
