I know in the myths section it is explained y it is bad mod to do but what if you are pushing more air in along with the extra fuel?

lol, instead of modding to add more fuel...
just crimp ur intake pipe to allow less air to get in...BAM! same affect as more fuel..right right- Rich - Hey Ya\'ll watch This

yay sarcasm.
my friend has a 98 v6 mustang. and he was like "on ebay they have a chip for $20 that says it gives u like 20hp" and i told him....its not achip its just a resistor that goes into ur IAT sensor and tells the ECU the air is colder than it is...i told him its a .05cent resistor from radioshack...well he dint believe me...spent $20 on it...and got a piece of paper and a 5cent resistor attchaed to it.
we intalled it...his MPG went from 20mpg to 11mpg, but he thought it was "WAY" faster....before his mustang he had a 94 cavalier with a HUGE spoiler on it and he said the spoiler made his 0-60 time a full second faster...so...yeeahh- Rich - Hey Ya\'ll watch This

FYI... The IAT has more of an impact on timing advance than fuel. But... The PCM may dump in more fuel to help quench KR from too much timing... (I suppose the later is debatable)

I could really use a second off my 0-60 times.

That should give you *at least* another 30hp...

And this thread comes back It did make me think of two things tho that is common in the GP community:
1) Happy Knob
2) ICCU
Both fool the IAT, but the ICCU goes even further and makes adjustments to the MAF signal too. Personally, I am not a fan of either, but, it can be helpfull for MINOR tweaking in the event you want to adjust the timing a Little.
