Betterthanyou, Have you tired making 3500 flanges yet? Friend just bought a low milage (1K) 3500 and plan on putting it into a Fiero. Exhuast is little more complicated then 3400 and have to find a way to deal with the 54x crank sensor.

i was just gonna say.. has anyone layed the D port 3x00 flanges on the 3500 heads to see if they overlap at all?
if not then i'll be buying a set ASAP, i doubt my gen2 O ports will work...lol
Well if I had a 3500 to test on I could let you know. Maybe Brad can get his hands on one. Or if Ben knows of one I will send him some flanges. If there is a difference I'm sure Brad could whip up the drawing and I could get some cut pretty quick.
Anyone care to explain to me what these do exactelly? And Ortie666 where did you get those/what exactelly are they? (look like headers... just minus some parts lol)

Header flanges??? well they are the base to making a set of headers.. and most of us heer need to do so, because i think the olny set headers one could buy for a 6-60 is for the ironhead s-10's.. so pretty much once you have the flanges you can just build from there..

If I remember to bring my 3400 flanges up to the shop I could take a look and see if they actually fit. From what i've heard though, there is a slight difference in them. One way to find out.
Ben took some measurements of the ports for me the other night and it appears that the 1 5/8" flanges will still clear the port. But, it would always be nice to have someone actually bolt a set up and see.
Ok I am bringing this thread back again. Some of you guys have had flanges for about a year now. But to date I don't see any pictures of progress.
Does anyone have anything to show?
On a side note I have 1 set of Gen III D port flanges, 2 sets of Gen III/II round port flanges and 3 Gen I flanges left. If there is still a large number of people looking for flanges let me know your intesested and I will cut another batch.
