Does Taking the screen out of the MAF really help performance? It doesn't seem to be restrictive at all. Also, Is it possible to port and polish the MAF?
One last thing, Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket performance MAF available for a 2001 Grand Am GT?

Ive heard that removing the MAF screen can do more harm than good. Leaving it in allows there to be a smooth flow of air over the MAF sensor thus ensuring an even reading. If the screen is removed, the sensor could possibly not read correctly.
