hybrid theory

Alright i'm starting to play around with the idea of a 3.1/3400 hybrid. My question is would the internal valvetrain from a 3.1 fit into a 3400..

example...say i just happened to have bought a performance valve setup for a 3.1 (valves/rockers/etc etc) but i want to stick on 3400 heads. Would they fit? would it be any more efficient? This would be of course after the heads got P&P

Rockers yes. Valves maybe not..since the 3400 has larger valves than the MPFI stuff. Spings and retainers would need to be cheked like any "Upgrade" set.
