You ask for a kit, there is a kit.

You have to pay to play. Bottom line.

                quoted for truth??

pretty much any kit will be able to make yourself than it would be to buy new... however you have to put in all the work (mind you i havnt ever bought something new for my car.. either homemade or used... so i compleetly support the idea of making it yourself, just pointing out that the kits are out there for someone to make a profit off of)

Who has ran their kit? I don't believe anything they say and every part I have seen so far from them has had shavings/dust in them, including an intake manifold. Id ask if they clean their parts before they ship them, or if you have to pay extra to make sure your engine doesn't turn into a vacuum cleaner for their parts.

Is that a profit, or a killing?

I plan on getting their kit in the near future. I think the only parts they machine themselves are the mounting brackets and maybe the pulleys. Hopefully they didn't have a hand in the driveshaft.

building it myself w/ the help of a seasoned gearhead(s) wouldn't be too difficult but i wouldn't know what to do in regards to tuning

its your responsibility when buying something for your engine that it is clean before you install it. Sure its supposed to be clean and all when you get it, but hell why not double check things?

Its your engine. It only makes sense to.

What I also find funny is that people say they can build a kit cheaper but how many of those people factor in their time? it amazes me how everyone thinks their time is free.

If you spend 200 hours on buildign your own kit with all the headaches associated with it, just to save $1k, was it really worth it? I mean how much is your time worth to you? I guess for most here its not worth very much.

There are times I would pay money to get out of the house and into the shop, lol, so really, that wrench time is also profit. :P

I bought rsms 3x00 kit and have adapted it to work on the 95 beretta. a pain in the butt. There is a lot of difference from the grand am and the beretta. But it worked. I am reworking the motor because the fuel pump took a dump on a hard run and it toasted a piston. I hope to have it back on the road in a few more months. I have been having issues trying to accomplish running 20 psi of boost so I am going back to only 12.
