I would like to know what more powerful motors i could swap out for my 3.1 motor in my 1990 lumina euro with not a whole hell of a lot of work. i would like to know if i have to put a different transmission in with it cuz i just had mine rebuilt not too long ago. I want a motor with at at least close to or more than 200 hp. any input would be greatly appreciated.

You could go with a 3400 from any of gms newer sedans or minivans. 185hp im not sure about torque. Anyways that the only easy swap. Now with a turbo you could go past 200 easy

Probably the easiest swap for you would be a 3.4 DOHC engine. A turbo 3.1 MPFI, or a late 3400 would work, too, but for ease...the 3.4 DOHC would be a good route to go. You start with 210+HP, too.\"NASCAR is an integral part of my life. A part of me died when Dale Earnhardt died.\"
