one more quick guestion, I hope it gets answered tomorrow, I started to wire coil 6/3 as triger #1, does it make a difference as to which coil is #1 as long as the wires all go to the right point?and in the right order? cause i checked my wireing and i had 1 triger and a negitive crosed! but i still have no spark! is it time to call MSD and have them tell me i'm stuped?2002 Pontiac GrandAm GT1

yes it does in terms of location on the module. The Ign module still will try and fire what it knows as #1/4 first.
Do you have the MSD Interface modules? If not how are you trying to wire this up?Colin

ya i got the MSD Interface modules, but when i was wiring it i did the 2 and the the 1 extra, and i've changed the wireing for the 3/6 allready, I'm going to try and switch them around and see if it makes a difference.
On another note I talked to an MSD tech this moring and he said that it dosen't make a difference, as long as the triger is with the right ground.
he told me to ground the solid color wire with the box atached and ti should fire, if it does the box is bad! if not there simething wrong with the wiring or some where else2002 Pontiac GrandAm GT1

one quick update, rewired all the wires to the same as the diagram, and still no spark. now I'm going to call MSD and see what's going on!
PS when i cheak the red wires they all have 12v and none of the solid wire are all 0v
all of the trigger wires have 0v but the thing the puzles me is that, From what the MSD tech said when i gournd any of the solid color wires it's suposed to fire the coil, but i tryed that and there is no spark? i don't know why? I'm bafeled!!!!!!2002 Pontiac GrandAm GT1

Have you tryed running it with the bypass plug installed? Does it run on the bypass plug setup?
How do you have the power supplies hooked up? fuse ok? Dont forget to check your main ground. A poor ground wire for the box and you'll be getting nothing.
You have it wired exactly like my diagram? (dont forget the 5/2 coil is opposite from the other two in regards to wiring)Colin

stock iurdum pluge and factory wires, soon to be replaced with new factory iurdum pluges and 8.5mm MSD black wires! hopefully if there dune. the car runs grate with the pypass pulg installed! when i started to dignosis everything, i removed the noise filter and ran jumper wires strate to the battery. i even checked the ground and it had 0v sitting at the ground, 12v at the power wire.
theled still flashes when the key is on after cranking? I'm not sure what it means?2002 Pontiac GrandAm GT1
