Ok, Well my buddy has a 95 Lumina Z34, DOHC 3400. It has duel exhuast and sounds nice and raspy but not to loud, just right. So i was woundering, If i found a wrecked z34 and bought exhuast from it, or at least the two mufflers/tips would it work on my venture. Use highflo cat then weld on new z34 exhuast?

Or any other ideas to get raspy sound when WOT, but not annoyingly loud

First, the DOHC isn't a 3400. Its just a 3.4L.

Second, the Z34 doesn't have reall dual exhaust. Its just a Y-Pipe under the rear seat. If you are messing with the exhaust anyway, it'd probably just be easier to make your own setup and then its be guaranteed to work.

ya just take it to a shop and have them put a new exhaust on after the cat or depending on laws in your area....wait aren't you getting headers for the van? you're gonna need a custom set up anyways so wait till the headers are on and then have a shop make a new down pipe and so on.

Well headers will be way in future, right now I just ordered a Delta Flow 40 series Flowmaster thru my work (Canadian Tire) And it should be good, Im replacing the main muffler, keeping resonator n gettin Cat down the road. It should be a deep powerful sound

I've got 2 delta 40's and it screams like a bat out of hell during WOT. I still need to remove my ubend, but that will come out one day...hopefully

HAH on a side note, me and my buddy were out doing 40K and up runs, and if i drive with it in 1 and stomp it at 40 and barks tires, not a chrip and nice bark, its wikkid. Sorry i was just thinkin bout it lol.

ANyways ya, r they on a 3400? do they have a nice mellow sound low end and SCREAM when ur WOT?

it's a 3100
idle is still quiet with a little bit more of a rumble and yes it screams pretty loud at WOT. there should be a sound clip I sent to someone (i think Froggx?) he posted it on the board.

I kept the stock cat (state law?) and the resonator at first, then removed the resonator a couple months later. did'nt notice much difference, but if I were to do it again I would definatley remove the resonator and the u bend.

Its on! Sounds really nice, not to loud, but deep and raspy at low rpms I love it, prolly going high flow cat soon, but ya im happy

how much diffference with highflo cat and/or res. removed?
