  • More projects the bird brain is working on....

Thought I'd show off the beginnings of a set of headers I'm building for a 3400, and no these are not for my car, but will be making a set for me real soon me thinks.

    Anyway....

    And here:

As long as they are, about 18" each.

        Cool beans.
I started making another set of headers again this year. Just have the starter tubes done in the flanges right now,
need to get a chance to get back at it and work on them again.
They are not for myself either.

Looks to be a great start Chris!

That's an equal length design? Just looks like the further to the right (trans side) you go, the shorter the tubes get. Weird camera angles? Either way, looks good. Let us hear 'em when they're done!

They aren't exactly equal length, but within an inch or so. Yeah the camera angle probably does change the way it looks a bit.

why go over the tranny, why not go under the oilpan??? thats what i plan to do with my car. if i go under, i can get a 38" primary no problems, can get longer if i want. unless you are building a turbo header.....

Ground clearance issues maybe? I guess that is why I personally would still want to go over the trans.

Exactly, if these were N/A headers, like I will be building for my 'Bu, the front header will still go over the tranny.

What size of pipe did you use for those headers? you fabricating a collector as well?
                      Here\'s to hoping....

These are 1.5" primaries. I'm not sure if I'm going to fab a collector or buy one.
