Looking for motor to swap in to a 3.1L Z24

    Will a 3.4 DOHC/3.8L work?

Any ideas for other motor swap will help also.

Looking at the 3.4 DOHC turbo out of 94 Pontiac.

A 3.4DOHC will not fit into the engine bay of a j-body. A 3800 would probably fit easier, but its a 90* engine so if you want help go to http://L67swap.com .

You could swap in a 3100 or 3400 V6, or just swap the intake/heads from 3100/3400 onto your 3.1 (thats what I would do). With that you should be able to get a low 15 second car at least, I would guess.

A DOHC won't fit into a Z24's bay... its too tall and too wide (deep). There was never a production 3.4 DOHC turbo, so not sure where you found that. And we don't condone discussing 3.8L swaps here. If you really feel an urge to go that route, visit www.l67swap.com , but you won't hear any good comments out of us about it. That's just the way we are...

I would look into a 3400 swap. There are several guys on here who have done the 3x00 swap into 2nd gen J-bodies, so you could get alot of help from them on what all is involved.

      And welcome to the forums!

to be technical it will fit in, but thats all it will do! I'd reccomend a stock 3400 drop in.
check out www.domesticcrew.com/660 for some info on that
