3400 TOG headers on a 3100 w-body

From what I've read in the past, these things bolt up. But what all modificaitions do i have to do to make them work.

1. Custom Down pipe???
2. Block second O2 sensor????

Is that the only modification they need??

And how many known people have done this?

All I know is from what Colin said when he tried too fit them. They are designed too clear the 4T40E or 4T45E automatic trannies. I know they will not fit the 5-speed without some severe modifications too the piping. I would guess the same might be true of the 4T60 tranny, since it's larger than the 4T40/4T45.

If you have a 5-speed, you basically would have too completely redo the front header.

Ummm as far as I remember Colin had the S&S headers and the collector for the front manifold hit the bellhousing on the getrag that he had it bolted too. The TOGS fit? There was a guy with a Beretta that had the rear manifold hacked up, bent at at more severe angle so it would fit in the J/l/N pre 98 Engine bays. As for the crossover pipe, I think that has to be changed too on the older style Berettas and Cavaliers, the Wbody.... I dont know how the transmission bolts up. But with them having a turbo there Im almost sure that upper trans mount would not be a problem.

I remember Brad, Colin, and maybe Ben or Franz ordering sets for their Sunbird, Beretta, Wbody and the J/L did not fit but the W body wasnt that far off if I remember correctly. Someone around here should know more then I do.

Yeah with the S&S's they just won't fit around a 5spd Getrag.

Did Chris (GPXSS) ever get his S&S's to fit around his 4T60? Or was there no issues with them in that regards?

The 4T40/45 style trans's drop signifigantly off from where the bellhousing mates up and does a sharp angle \ Down to the case which is how and why these headers are routed.

The guy with the Beretta 5spd and TOG's had to modify both front and rear headers as well, as again they were designed around the GAGT 4T45E.

Thanks for the info. I pmed gpxss and emailed him. Hopefully he will get my response soon. Cause I got the money to buy the headers Now. U know how that goes. If i find something else to buy in the near future the money will be gone.


Any difference in quality vs S&S and TOG??? Where can I find S&S headers??

What do I do for flanges? will they bolt up correctly? Right shape?

The flanges are a GEN3 head style and will bolt up to any GEN3 head (gen2 for that matter too)
