I'll try not to rant and blow up but, besides the upgraded intake these cars need headers. I'm going to build a set. I'm going to get a hand bender and some slightly oversized straight piping. Then I'm going to hand bend the primaries into some collectors I saw in a Jeg's catalog. ANYTHING is better than those crap log headers currently on there. Quick, cheap, and equal length. If you want some after I test fit mine then cool, but no b*tching about it!

RE: Re: RE: My car...
i built a set of headers for my car. they are shorty headers, but they are way better than the manifolds, and permit me to run true dual exaust. i bought a set of pacesetter headers for an s10 and cut them up being it was cheaper than to buy flanges and collectors. i used mandrel bends, mostly u and j bends. i also built the entire exaust system myself using 2" j and u bends (and i think i even had an o bend). it took a full weekend and working evenings to complete it all. i used vibrant mini-cats and a pair of flowmaster 60 series mufflers. the cavy and beretta arer pretty close to the same
here are a couple pics of the finnished headers
the rear collector is just above the swaybar. the front collector sits right above the frame, and the exaust pipe sits right above the lip on the frame and goes under the oil pan, and over the swaybar.

i just got my camera back from service so ill take some pics nect time i hagve it on the hoist at work.
basicly, its just the 2 pipes side by side. i had to cut out some of the heat sheild past the opening for the cat, and had to modify some of the other places (read: with a large hammer). it is very tight all the way through and it took a couple weeks to get it so it wasnt hitting in places, but i dont have any more rattles.
