  • Overbored throttle bodies

How much can a person safely overbore their throttle body? I'm assuming I can take it to 62mm with no problem as that is what RSM is currently selling.

RSM sleaves their throttle bodies. They bore it out to the OD size of the piece of alum tube that they then fit into the throttle body and redrill the shaft holes and bleed holes.

So 62mm is out of the question without sleaving the TB?

        yes.

you break into the passages and the wall where the cavity is around the shaft bearings.

you can really only bore the stocker about 2-3 mm's and thats having to add JB weld to area's to thicken it up before you bore or you still break through a few small cavities.
