    New here... :P

I have an 03 Pontiac Aztek with the 3.4L Pushrod 6..

Quick question.. When looking at the motor from the FRONT of the vehicle.. where would the #1 cyl be? Front bank or rear bank and what position.

I look fwd to learning a lot from this site.

    Thanks

    Kevin

Back passenger side is number one.

On pretty much any motor (All GM motors) number one cylinder is the one closest to the crank pulley and it goes towards the back from there.

I thought on my GA (and my Aztek) cylinder 1 was front passenger side? Keep in mind I don't know anything.

I thought this board was all the old school 60*'s!!

#1 cylender on any inline or v engine is the closest to the front of the motor. this makes ALL 60 degree v6 gm engines have #1 cylender on the firewall side in a fwd app, and the passenger side on a rwd app.
