  • new performance site for the 3x00....

ok, so a few of you guys know that ive been in the back room doing port and polish work for a while now.

now that i have a lot of experience under my belt, along with a good friend of mine, we have decided to open up our own "store/site"

right now the store is being worked on, but the forums are now open for posting and general questions and info.

so feel free to swing by and post. we have posted a general parts list and pricing info in the forums and we are currently taking orders.

keep in mind, we guarantee the lowest price and if we dont have the lowest price, show us the lowest price and we will beat it by 5%.

oh yea, and we dont inflate shipping rates either.

so check us out and keep in mind, the site just came online last night and we are still working on things.

ben and brad, let me know if this is not appropriate.

    thanks!

RE: new performance site for the 3x00....

Ben just might start selling stuff for $25 so that you you have to sell it (according to your disclaimer) for $23.75.

well, if ben does that, he will be loosing money as well, so its his call.

and if he can get stuff for less than i can, good for him, because i think i can find the stuff needed to make this stuff cheaper than anyone else is willing to offer it for.

so if thats what he wants to do and then drive out someone thats actually trying to help out the community, well

oh, i almost forgot about this idea......

brad and ben, if you want to try and sell things for less than i do, thats cool, i have no issues.

but if you want to get crazy with lowering the price to $25 for whatever the item is, then thats fine, i will buy your item for $25 and sell it for the $23.75.

which means i only lose $1.25, compared to whatever is lost on your end for trying to back door me. rather than me eating the cost of this part and labor, ill lose $1.25, have a happy customer, and you get to eat the loss, not me.

im not stupid by the way.

like i said in the first post, if me posting the thread was inappropriate, fine, it can be deleted and i will go elsewhere, but to try and mock me isnt cool because i wont be the unhappy person in the end.

all i was trying to do is get the word out for decently priced products and i get that kind of reply. i thought we were getting along nicely until the recent posts

oh well i guess, hopefully people can see through the muck.

I haven't even posted and you are already theoretically dueling my business.

Are you still using a dremel tool for your port work?

You talk of cheap, i talk of quality. How are we in competition?

1st of all, Brad brought your name into this, i simply replied.

and no, a dremel is not the only tool in my garage. a nice 20 gal air compressor and die grinder does the job nicely thanks. and i dare you to get the final finish i get and not use a dremel. thats just freaking silly talk right there. the dremel is used to finish the product. and even if i did use a dremel, who cares. the material is removed by the same type of bits and the same amount of material is removed. its not my fault you cant handle a dremel and therefor rule that its not the right way.

i talke of LOW COST, i never said my quality is bad. if someone wants to overpay for "quality" then by all means, they can spend all the money they want, its not my fault they are dupped into buying something that is no better than the other. and yet, i can provide proof that my work does yield results, good ones too. i have yet to see ANY sheets from apoc, rsm, sa, mantapart, milzy, you. however, ive got time slips proving it, and i actually have a guy that is getting dyno'd after getting my intakes and heads with LS1 springs. results will be posted on my site. but hey, claim your quality is better, thats fine. i charge a fair price for a fair product, take it or leave it. it seems that the people ive sold many sets of intakes seemed to like my quality.

i dont see why i should overcharge for porting and polishing. seriously, a set of intakes takes 1 hour tops for BOTH intakes, shop rate is normally $60. someone else charges 300 for a set. i dont see them spending 5 hours on a set of intakes.

but hey, im hear to make a buck as well, but im not hear to run off business because of obsurd prices

you charge what you want, i really care less.

I am not even involved in Ben's store, so what I say isn't worth a bag of beans. I was just stating that by putting a disclaimer about a guaranteed 5% less price, you could have some issues. That's the only point I was trying to make. I don't think I threatened you in anyway. Hell, it could have all been just a joke between friends and you turned it into a pissing match.

As stated, I have no involvement at all in the 60V6 store, so what I say concerning it means nothing.

brad, ok, i will give you that you "could" have been just making a statement and that was all. if it was just that, i am sorry.

however, with our past (me, you, ben), you should realize that just leaving your post with what you said didnt seem like a comment between "friends"

i dont have a problem with either one of you, seriously i dont.

i try to contribute good info to this site and i try to not to get bent out of shape. non of my previous posts in this thread were done while i was mad, i didnt get mad at any of it. i did take offence yes, anyone would. the comment appeared to be of a condisending (spelling) nature and i simply replied. i see no wrong in that, and definately not a pissing match.

i will leave this alone as long as we can agree that no matter who is making the products, its better than not having them. thats the service i am trying to provide. and for me to come on this site and try to info others that there i am trying to provide a low cost alternitive should show you that i am trying to help out OUR community and look past everything thats happened in the past. yea, i get to make money while im doing it, but seriously, its not enough to cover the phone bill let alone "set me up for life"

I know enough about your business from your posts now. I spend 4 hours on my intake manifolds...not 1. I wonder what I am doing that you aren't.

As for being dupped into buying something that is no better than the other, i don't think that way at all. If everything I did was no better than the other, id be working at walmart now. I didnt spend the last 6 years sitting around with a thumb up my ass...so I am seriously not concerned with anything you are posting until you really do have proof. I am working on my proof now, but im working more on making significant gains, not proving my stuff is on par with everyone else.

My business is my life, so our motivations are very different as well. For me, a sale is food and gas money and pays the bills. Its not my "go out and party" fund. I reinvest a lot of my profits back into the business so that I can offer more products at the best pricing I can do. If I can't beat or at least get damn close to what others sell parts for like the brake lines or spark plug wires, I won't sell them. Thats why you don't see magnecore wires on the store, cause cyberauto sells them cheaper than I can get them.

Do you have a tax id and a company? I have to pay taxes, so my pricing also reflects what the government is going to take out of my profits. It also means that I am not going to just run off with someone's money.

Hey Sappy this business is my life too! Requardless If it is just startihg out. I have invest a decnt amount of money in to it as did Germ! I havn't bought from you site so I will not say anything about your products! Nor anyones elses! All this thread is, is to tell people that another site is now out there! Nothing else!

And To quote Brad "Ben just might start selling stuff for $25 so that you you have to sell it (according to your disclaimer) for $23.75."
What does that sound like to you?

To quote brad AGAIN "I am not even involved in Ben's store, so what I say isn't worth a bag of beans."
So can I trash the 60v6 store and being that I have no involment with the store I can get away with it? NO!!! SO why would you???? So joking or pointing out something can be done without using Bens store! Someone could mistake you post as saying That is how much ben is now charging....So please be respectful and think before you post!!

Forgive me if I seem to be overanalyzing but I've always kind of thought that to an extent the amount of quality a person puts into one thing can be used to gauge the relative quality they put into everything else. As such, one who overanalyzes might judge the skill levels of people offering competing products by looking at other skills the person has, such as say typing skills or mastery of the english language, and use that to form an assumption on which competitor offers a higher quality product, especially when there is no otherwise proof on who offers the better product.

I'm fairly new to the 3400 scene. I appreciate anyone who is making things for us.

sappyse107, do you have a website with your products?
germ, what products are you selling?

Anyone selling headers for a Pontiac GAGT besides S&S or TOG?

It seems you guys don't get along. That's too bad since you could combine your resources and knowledge, but oh well. At this point I'll take what i can get

I'm excited to see what germ has to offer since it sounds like he's pushing more towards the 3x00 while at this time sappy seems slightly biased towards dohc products.
