  • insataling a cam & smog guestion

hay guy's. i know this is a really easy question but on a 99+ n-body does the motor have to be pulled? or can you drop the sub frame enough to get it in? also do you need to replace the lifters sence there roller?

Ps. has any one somged there 3400 with a regrind? I'm just wondering how it did. I know that it didn't have a carb# but what they dont know wount hurt them! that's the only thing I'm really worried about it blowing clean!

RE: insataling a cam & smog guestion

If you like working in the cramped spaces of the wheelwell and you drop the subframe about 9", then sure you can do it without pulling the engine. But I bet it'll take you just as long and you'll be in more pain after doing it.

No, you don't need to replace the lifters.

Yes, people have passed emissions with a regrind.

Here in IL to pass the emissions in a 96+, the check engine light just has to be off...
