belt size for underdrive pulley

ok i read this site like 4 billion times it says ill need a belt thats an inch shorter than the stock one but how do i go about finding out what belt ill be able to use.

btw i have a 99 grand am with 3400 id like to use this on it says it fits the 3400. i just need to figure out the belt size and get a part number thank you.

go to the parts counter and have then look up your car in the computer, then ask him to get you one that is an inch shorter

thanks i didnt think it was that easy. i thought that i would have to go somewhere and spend 8hrs comparing belts to find the right one

All belts have the size written on them. So find the one for your car then tell the guy to get one 1" or 25mm shorter
