That cam will get the car into 6500 RPM with the port work no sweat. I wouldn't replace the retainers and locks not necessary. Just get the stock gaskets. Thats all there really is

The engine might rev to 6500, but a stock 4t60-e is gonna crap out real quick doing that a lot.

Yea. Unless they look hammered out. But these heads are new 3400 stuff right? So they will be fine.

i have 3400 heads.... am I missing anything here? what do I do for rockers? I don't think i want to use my old ones.

Now the valves that I listed above. They don't need a valve job since tehy are new?? or is there a way to improve them? And how about the length of them? Will that affect anything, since they are not stock size.

If the stem is not stock length then that is going to change alot of things. You will need an adjustable valvetrain and will need custom pushrods, well maybe a stock size one but it will have to be ordered. So get an adjustable pushrod cecker to veryif geometry then you can order rods.

Are they shorter or longer now?

I just purchased the valve seals and valves from SIvalves. $10 a pop X 12. I'm stoked.

Now i need isky to chime in about those spring seats.

INJECTORS: now the newer style 3100/3400 used the same size injectors if i'm understanding this correctly. Are they at all bigger then the old style 3100 injectors? What size would that be. And would my stock computer run them well?

I think 3X00 injectors have a different impedance and most likely also have a different flow rate. I would not use them I would stick with the ones your ECM runs now.

Stock rollers or Crane Gold Race. Or pick any SBC narrow body rockers and an ARP stud kit. You may have to clearance the intake depending on what you go with

what combination would you recommend for the best performance with watching the price?

Would you absolutely recommend the arp stud kit? Is it because of a clearance issue that this kit is recommeded? I would like to go with what is cheaper. If you highly recommend it then I will get the kit.

I would like a set of rockers that are better than stock. Without going crazy with the $$.

Once again, with your experience, what would you recommend?

You must use the ARP studs becaue you need to convert the 10mm threads in the head to 3/8 top which is on every SBC rocker. The Crane gold race kit is really nice. But just shop around for different rockers. Crane Energizer or comp rockers are cheeper.

You wouldn't happen to have a part # or even better yet a link to the crane gold race kit. I did a search on the web i have no clue which one is for my car.

I just noticed that you are in B.C. I should stop by, i'm going there in may :P
