will small port 3100 intake work with gen 2 heads?

yes me and my million questions
sence i'll be opening up a early 3100 for its 1.6 rockers for the 3.1 i'm gonna put in my z24,I'd figue I'd ask if the intake would work?

simply put, no it wont. gen 2 and 3 stuff isnt interchangable (heads, intakes, ect) and you cant mix and match parts.

Set the (intake) gaskets on top of each other and you will see just how different teh ports are for alignment and shape/size.

If you want to use gen 3 intake, you will need gen 3 heads.

The intake ports on the head themselves are in different locations.

If you put the 3100 heads on the 3.1 block, then you can use them.
