  • pushrod mods for 2k5

saw a post of similar title over in dohc perf. and had to ask

What do we have in store for our little valve deprived 6-bangers this year?

As for mine, if I ever get it back together:
    (start with a 3400)
Slightly ported upper and lower manifolds
    Lightly p&p heads
    Manifold back exhaust
    CAI
Underdrive pulley (no power steering to boot)
    3500 plenum w/ 65mm TB
    LS6 Valve Springs
    180F thermostat
    Upgraded injectors
    Custom chip
    Custom cam regrind

And if my savings account recovers quickly enough I could be seeing a little gauge that says "10 psi" on my dash by august along with a drastic increase in performance.

So what are you doing? Go ahead and post up.

    RE: pushrod mods for 2k5

buying another car to drive daily first and formost

-pulling the motor out of the camaro

-installing the 3300 RPM stall torque converter that i got off ebay over a year ago, but have been afraid of on a car that gets a lot of highway miles

-putting my new poly lower control arm bushings in to try to defeat the wheel hop i keep getting

-using a megasquirt computer tune the car

    - possibly spray the shit outta the stock motor till it breaks

    - possibly assemble my 3.4L/3400 hybrid.. not sure if i will have the $$ for it this summer or not
    3.4L camaro some goodies

As we speak I am working on a full rebuild of my Getrag. I bought a 8lb flywheel and this week comes a Spec Stage 2 clutch. I already have new OEM cables waiting too.

I also worked out a deal with Rebel to take his TGP setup. It includes everything including a Saab intercooler and BOV. I am fairly certain it will crack the 14.0 mark at 10psi.

i'm a loser. i just to want to get my car started again, should be easy if i get off my butt and put a screw or two in, couple gaskets, the plenum, and a working icm and coil. fresh gas and the old 2.8 should be good to go. then if my mental state isn't to severely threatened, i'll finally swap in the 3.1 I built. If the gods smile upon me i'll build a 3x00. if fate conspires against me, i'll just get my J started, sell my T/A to pay off my debts and spend whatevers left on gas and dissapear.

Can the mod list include a new lower intake gasket? I'm thinking of that one just because there's about 35,000 miles on the original 1999 gasket. Also I *NEED* a new trans, and hope to acquire a Torsen sometime in the near future. Then it's just some visual re-freshening and enhancements.
