  • Forged Crank?

I went to www.jbodyperformance.com to check up on some forged pistons they had listed on Ebay, and they have a new 84mm forged crank for the 3.1/3.4 engines listed on the main page. They are going for $955 CDN ($682 US) through the end of the year. Has anybody heard of this? This isn't just their regular 981 casting with a melonite treatment. They are even offering offset machining of the timing ring to adjust base timing (although you can do this with the ECM also).

The last time I heard, someone was getting a custom billet crank made up, but it was going to be like $3000 US. The picture at JBP does look like a forged, rather than billet crank. Any thoughts?

Yeah I've seen that crank, Mev posts on v6z24.com about all of his new products like that. JBP have thatbillet crank also, but Mev doesn't want to use it for some reason.

For myself, I use the factory crank until I break one or two, then I'll consider swapping to a different crank.
