  • Head milling

What is the most you would suggest milling off of 3400 heads? .015"? or could i go more? or would it even be practical to go more than that? thanks in advance

    What is your objective? Compression?

Remember if you mill the heads alot you have to start milling the intake manifold aswell. And you will have to change pushrods or goto adjustable rockers.

I will look at my manual later and see what the max is.

i dont want to mill them a whole lot. im gonna get them redone, and i figured i might as well have them decked while im at it. I would just like to raise the compression a bit, nothing drastic, but better than stock. I dont want to have to change anything else, put it that way. thanks for checking too, i appreciate it

i had mine done .015 and thats about the most I would go personally.

.015 made the lower intake bolts SLIGHTLY off and made it a little more difficult to tighten since they were offcenter ever so slightly, but nothing that wasnt to hard to tighten down.
