3400 m90 supercharger ?

cant you put the SC upside doewn for better clearence and a nicer looking design(sp?) for the piping right? i guess

I had wanted to do that originally, but ran into two problems. First, that places the SC pulley towards the rear, and it would interfere with the blower motor. Second, I have the SC about as low as it can go right now without hitting the valve cover, and hood clearance is tight. Flipping the blower over so the outlet faces up would run the piping right into the hood.

The location and orientation I have it now is about as good as it gets for clearance and pipe routing. I am more concerned with function than aesthetics, but the entire package is turning out looking pretty good anyway. I think once you see the finished product you will agree.

I searched but could not find anyone that has done this.

I'm planning on installing the m90 in place of the AC of the 3400 engine. i would remove the ac, ac lines, and ac condensor. I would also relocate the oil filter and push the radiator foward to make the charger fit in that area. The ? is will this work? i can't find any info on a roots charger that has an air to air intercooler being that this is what i'm trying to do. So air would be sucked in as follows. Air filter, mass air flow, m90 throttle, roots charger with internal bypass valve, 2 feet of 2.5" piping, FMIC, 4 feet of 2.5" piping, and to the 3400 top intake manifold that is not going to have a throttle on.
Will there be lag because of all the piping if this even works?
I used to have the charger mounted above the top intake manifold but i got tired of having to look over it.

Yeah the pic you got is where i got the idea to do the 3400 sc. i ask the fello a few ?'s and was a great help. This weekend the weather sucked so i haven't had the chance to work on the car. when it's done i'll post some pics.

Wait are you the guy with the blue 3rd Gen sunfire with a 3400 swap and had the same setup as McGavin?

yup thats me but it is a teal sunfire almost green in some pics it looks blue.
