fuel injector rating

I have looked high and low (hour or so)... and i cannot find what a 2nd gen 3.1 injectors are rated at. if anyone could fill me in on this... i am dreaming about a turbo upgrade right now... wishfull thinking... so i need to know what the flow rating is. thanks all.

I have been told anywhere from 16-17# Not sure on the exact rating...

I do know that TGP ones are 22#. (which would suit your turbo appllication quite well...perhaps?)

Really... yeah... i wonder where i could find those... are 3400 injectors bigger or 3.4 injectors? is the fuel pump the same for the tgp and the 3.1?... i bet i could get a new set at auto zone... hrmm beings a tgp in a junkyard is damn near impossible to find.

stock 3.1l is 16lb/hr. im not sure about the 3400 injectors, i think they are special for the sfi fuel injection (im not 100% though). i know stock 5.0l inejctors are 19lb/hr, and there is lots of aftermarket for those for decent prices.

Well I have been looking into this this past week, so while the numbers are in my head.

3.4 Quad cam = 22#
Pre 2000 3X00 = 18 #

Newer 3X00 injectors can be used but, why go through the hassle of soldering new connectors and all that.

Look for Mustang injectors on Ebay, they are well priced and available in ANY rating. High impedance type, and some connector end too.

Keep in mind Ford get ratings from their injecotrs at 39? PSI rail pressure, our vehicles run slightly more.

Also, dont bid on 30# ford ones right now, cause you're just making the price higher for me

(I got the 3800 ones for my turbo project)
