  • Ultimate GenIII 660 (3X00) swap reference

    Got this from http://www.v6z24.com.

Thanks to Chris R., Chris W., Colin B., and Scott T., for creating such a great site.

    P.S. I vote to make this a Sticky!![/url]

I added the link onto the site under engine swaps. I don't like making stickies since the site is the permanent (well ok, we like to think it is) source for information and links.

Yeah, there are no J body sites...they don't exist. There are no other sites that even make mention of the 60V6 engines...they are just your imagination. hahaha, oh boy.

There will be more than just J-body info on there, soon enough.

Sappy: Thanks for adding the site to the links,

its not running right now. been parked for the last 3 weeks due to the snow on the ground.
i had a Fastchip stage 2 in there that i bought about 3 years ago... while on the dyno i noticed strange happenings... the a/f ratio was all good under load, around a good 12:1 ratio, then as the rpm kept climbing the a/f dipped even lower and lower and lower... untill about 5000rpm at which point it started going back towards 12:1 range ??

so i went back to the stock chip for now. watching on the a/f gauge the stocker doesnt do this stays flat and true with the a/f ratio. the fast chip does? POS chip. i need to get ben or someone to burn me a chip one of these days.

did you get those headers modified yet to fit yet?

nope, they are sitting in the S&S box and have been since the last meet. I just got the new radiator put in the Fiero, so once im sure its running right ill finally pull the GP in the garage and get to work on it.

I guess you won't have quite the same problems as me since you are still using a 3.1 bottom end and cam, but you will still need more fuel all over with the Gen3 top end. Are you running a 62mm TB?

no im running a bored over 2.3L quad 4 throttle body. i took mine out to 60mm.

yeah i gotta get a chip soon. the only mod to the fuel system is the caspers ADJ FPR. that and the autometer a/f gauge to try and "tune" the regulator for proper fuel ratio. i find mine with stock chip is decent around 45-50 PSI idle.
