  • Borla exhaust

I'll be doing an engine swap in the next few months, but I wanted to get started by adding a cat-back exhaust for my 2000 GP. The current engine is a 3100, and the new engine will be an l67.

Will the exhaust help my performance with my current engine? Could it be dangerous in any way?

You do realize that when you swap in the L67 that you will also have to swap in the transmission that goes with it, the computer, a custom made wiring harness, axels, etc.? You prolly need to look at L67swap.com to get a complete parts list.

And to answer your question, no, it's not dangerous. It will help performance.

Yes, I do realize all of that. I'll have plenty of help (and cash) this summer to do it.

Also, I'm going to either get rid of my cat all together, or get a high-flow one. How would that actually make the exhaust sound? I'm a little nervous, that I might not like the sound of it. Where can I get an oxygen simulator if I do get rid of the cat?

A lot of people have trouble with the Casper's O2 sim in that they still get an SES light. I would get one from ZZP(tech edge) as their's are said to work better.
