  • Turbo oil pressure

    I'm going to turbo my 3400 and i was wanting to know where everyone is getting the oil pressure for the turbo oil inlet.

    I "T"ed off the oil pressure sender.

        I'm pretty sure mine is t'ed off the oil pressure sending unit.

          Yesterday i was looking at my engine an i happened to notice a bolt near the oil filter the bolt had a fitting for a rachet so i was wondering if i remove that and put a nipple on there i could use that for the oil pressure. i'll test this out this weekend if i have time.

            There is a plug above the oil filter on some 3.1. Sometimes that was used for the oil pressure sensor, sometimes the oil pressure sensor was located on a plate between the motor and oil filter.

            Yes, you can use it for the oil supply for the turbo, that's what I do on mine.
