I'm looking to get a sense of what to expect from our pushrods engines.I'd like to see some 1/4 miles times posted with the type of car, engine mods, and est HP... Ok it braggin' time......
Thanks everyone
Motor - 3.1L V6
Trans - 5 speed
Dyno'd - 123 hp 168lbs of torque
Mods - 2.5" manfold back manderal bent exhaust with no cat dumped out the side
1/4 times - consistant 15.6 - 15.7's
Best times are in my Sig. The street tyre time is outdated, I only made passes with slicks after i changed to the Holley ECU, 22# injectors, the Larger T/B, and the solid mounts.. So I *Could* be faster? maybe. dont know.
The fastest time on slicks is the first 660 Jbody in the 13's (yeah its braggin' time) :P
92 Sunbird GT, 3.1L 5spd Manual.
Mods, TOO much to list, Read this: http://www.j-body.org/members/colin/cars/1/ Its old in terms of my updating the Pictures (2-3 years old now) and the Timeslips on the page. but the specs on the car are all up to date i think.

92 Sunbird GT, 3200 Hybrid 13.99@ 95.22 (2004)
90 Eagle Talon TSi AWD 10.54 @ 129mph.
12.31@113.xx (I'd have too look) on 12 psi. Still have some work too do, sure I can get it too do better. If I had too guess (since I do not actually know the HP), knowing the weight, using the trap speed, it comes too around 360 wheel.
3.2L hybrid....
GenI block, gen II 3.1 crank, Federal Mogul Hyper pistons, for a 1990 Cavalier (.030"), GMP Bumpstick, same as Crane 260-2, '95 3100 top end, essentially stock, custom headers, turbo, intercooled, and a few other things that I'm probably forgetting. All of this in my '85 GMC Jimmy, running, with traction problems and fuel delevery problems, a 13.8 @ 99. Check out http://www.v6z24.com/registry/Six_Shooter/ for more info and pics.
I have dyno sheets that show 218HP and 270 ft/lbs at the rear wheels. I am hoping to anihilate those numbers in the coming year, with a larger turbo, nitrous intercooling and a few other upgrades, I'm also hoping for a high 12, with the rectified fuel delivery and traction problems.
Well this is encouraging. I am going to have roughly a 2600 lb 88 fiero 5spd with about 185-200 hp. so I should be in the low 14 to high 13's right?
More like mid to high 13's
I doubt you'll get into the 13s. The Fieros with DOHC swaps are landing right at flat 14s, and that is with about 220hp, and the power curve of the DOHC. But definately expect low 14s, and who knows, maybe you can break that barrier.
my best run was 9.32 in the 1/8th mile in my 4 door 96 grand am. i should be running a 15 or so in the quarter. 2 1/2 inch kink bent pipes(yuk), cai, and a wet 75 shot.
