do you guys know if there is a higher ratio arm that will bolt on to the 3100? I have heard that it allready has the 1.6 ratio, but I am not too sure how to verify this... I am also not sure what kind of gains to expect from higher ratio arms with stock valvetrain/camshaft, or if a higher ratio would cause interferance with rocker covers, pistons, or springs? any advice would be appreciated!

A flat tapet hydrauic cam won't be big enough to cause any interferance as long as your cam timing is good.
My valve train is good for .511'' and the valve guides get in the way.
I have kmotions springs, crane valve locks, and titanium retainers the part #'s are on the cylinder head page .

i think the first few years of 3100s had the same 1.5 ratio stamped rockers as the 3.1
i havent heard of any higher ratio that 1.6 for the 60 degrees motors

Well if you can find a small block rocker in a 1.7 ratio I guess you could use that (provided they use metric studs or you get conversion studs). I have not ventured into that area so I do not know what kind of pushrod issues there might be.

You can retap the heads for the sbc bolts too.
I was just going to use the metric studs but then found out that the rockers don't come with the hard ware and you have to buy them at additional cost and there not cheap.
When I found that out I wanted to retap them for sbc studs, but I didn't have time to get the parts.
You need a drill press (have), a machinest size bit a 14 I think it is (have), and rocker stud drill guide from summit (don't have) and a 7/16-some thing tap (don't have).
I could have waited but I didn't want to spend $100+ to mail them home.

or you could just get the arp studs. they are 10mm bottom and 3/8 top. that means no machining and bolt on any 3/8 sbc rocker.
