Hard to tell exactly what the measurements are for these, but you could ask...

those pistons are for an aluminum head motor. a gen 1 motor uses flat top pistons, were a gen 2/3 uses dished. this is due to the differences in the combustions chamber.

i was looking for 3.1l forged or hyperutectic pistons for a cast iron head motor, but came up short. i found that speed pro does have a set, but they are 8.5:1 compression. they would work ok for a mild rebuild or boost, but if your going with boost, you could just use 3.1l aluminum head pistons and that would give you about 8.0:1. and unfortunetly, those are the only aftermarket 3.1l ironhead pistons i have found.

The gen1 3.1 engines use dished pistons like the gen2/3, but with a shallower dish. The gen1 2.8 was the only engine to use flattops.

ive never seen a gen 1 3.1l apart. if the gen 1 3.1l still has a dished piston, and the heads are the same as a 2.8l, whats the compression of the 3.1l???

                    We are from Saint-Petersburg!
We have 3.1 with iron heads, but it does not matter...
We are interested in high compression (flat top or rise dome or more than standart comp dist) forged 040 oversize piston kit and rings for them.
It is so, because we will install NOS on our Fiero...
And the main question - where is the shop of that pistons kit (not wait 3-4 weeks for made)?
Also we can use forged 3.3L pistons, that described at this site in the Federal Mogul catalog, but I cant find them at the shops (in internet)...

He said : "Shipping within US only" and they are standart - not oversize at all and it is not a set - it is only pistons...
                      But...where he bought them?
May be there are a kits in this shops...

3.3l pistons will not work. the 3.3l is a 90 degree v6, and its in the same family as the 3.8l. the pistons are different in it.

yeah but with max over bore (.060 over)
you can get 3.3 liters out of a 3.1
although i wouldnt go more than .040 over myself

Yes! 060 is too extremal and 3.3 litre is not a target. Our targed - high CR (for example 9.5:1 or 10:1). I am speaking about old chevy motor 3.3L (1978-1979). Is it really 90 degree? I saw the picture of the piston in catalog, 2 sheets of it are introdused in this site in the pictures with V6 60 engines...with some manipulation they will work. They are forged and it is the main. The have a number, but the problem - I cant find Federal Mogul shop to by them and other Federal Mogul pistons and rings!!!
