3400 top end swap for 2.8L ??

I've never really heard of anyone doing this, and I've asked a few times in threads for 3.1s, but never got any answers.

So I'm just wondering, has anyone ever heard or done a 3x00 top end swap on a 2.8L. Unfortunatley that is the only engine I have which is in my car at the moment. Do the heads, intake manifold from a 3400 fit? Would I need a new computer?
I don't really plan on doing it anytime soon unless I figure how much it might cost me and how long it would take to do the work.
