  • 3x00 oilpan on older motor

i was looking at all my engine stuff and realised i still have no oilpan for it. i was going to use the one thats currently on my car, but had an idea.

if i was to plug the holes for the crossbolted main caps, would i be able to bolt a 3x00 oilpan to a gen 1 or 2 motor???

now if that is possible, would i be able to use the maincaps from a 3x00 in a gen 1 or 2 motor (i realize i would need the block line honed) so i can have the extra streanth of it being crossbolted???

It was discussed awhile back (most likely on the old forum), but it has to do with the bolt holes not lining up. That and I think a problem with how the front cover lines up.
